Born 1963, Brentwood, Essex

1984: BA Social Anthropology, Cambridge

1985-90: worked as journalist and graphic designer for various magazines and newspapers

1989-90: Art foundation course, City Lit, London

1990-: set up studio practice as painter whilst continuing freelance graphic design work

1995: moved to rural mid-Wales with partner and children
